About Us

Mara Perrigo CTC (certified trainer and counselor) received her dog training certification after graduating from the esteemed Academy for Dog Trainers of San Francisco, an intensive two-year program structured around evidence-based dog behavior, training, and counseling.  She also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology focusing on animal cognition and behavior.  Her drive has always been to help and understand animals in their environment.  She has spent her life surrounded by animals large and small, from rabbits and dogs to seals and horses. Using force-free dog training techniques, she helps both animals and humans create lasting bonds of cooperation and understanding.  These bonds create the foundation for eliminating unwanted behaviors and developing the skills that every pet owner desires.
